SunWave is a battery-free, island solar pumping system: fewer components, lower installation cost, dependable performance off-grid.

Solar pumping is one of the most effective ways to bring water to arid and remote areas, turning abundant sunlight into energy without a grid connection or fossil fuel. The barrier has always been the upfront cost – panels and batteries put the technology out of reach in exactly the places that need it.

SunWave is built around that constraint. The motor adapts to the pump rather than forcing a fixed setup, which keeps the number of panels to a minimum. By converting solar radiation into direct pumping energy, it ensures full autonomy from electrical infrastructure, allowing water pumping without the need of a battery bank.

This integrated approach reduces system complexity and enables reliable water pumping in locations where conventional systems are not technically or economically viable, particularly in rural and agricultural areas across regions such as Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.

Sunwave is engineed by Mac3 and Umbra Pompe, two Italian family companies  and combines a Sub Solar pump with the Epower Solar inverter, designed to work together as one system rather than separate components.
